Hope for Children - Partnership with Right to Childhood (formerly SOS Childrens Villages UK).

Children are our future - but not all children are lucky enough to grow up in a sheltered family and therefore need our support. For this reason, the Guardians of the Environment Shop has entered into a partnership with Right to Childhood.

Tens of millions of children are at risk of growing up without the love, care and support of a family. Poverty, violence, conflict, loss and other pressures can push families towards crisis. Right to Childhood exists to prevent children from being separated from their families, and to protecting those who have already been separated.

Right to Childhood is an an international charity helping children in crisis around the world when they need us the most. They are there for children so they can grow up loved, safe and supported. Formerly associated with SOS Childrens Villages, Right to Childhood have officially withdrawn from the ’SOS Children’s Villages’ federation in October 2026. One of the reasons for withdrawing is the strategic realignment of its care models: The branches that are withdrawing -including the British branch - want to move away from the traditional, institutional ’village’ model of family separation and family-like care. Right to Childhood focuses on family strengthening and community-based support to help biological families stay together. 

The proceeds from the sale of our Hope Collection will be used to fund emergency aid and local family projects of Right to Childhood. You can find out more about the work of Right to Childhood at https://righttochildhood.org.uk/
